Monique Ferrell, director of the Headquarters Department of the Army SHARP Office at the Pentagon, discusses the goals of Army leadership related to the prevention of and response to sexual misconduct in the military during the Aug. 21 CASCOM-Fort Lee SHARP Summit in the multi-purpose room of the Army Logistics University. "Sexual assault is clearly a readiness issue," she said. "If we don't have a foundation of trust, how can we expect our Soldiers to go and do what's needed to win wars or accomplish the many other missions our leaders ask them to do?"
