Attendees included, from center to right, Cardin; Mark Belton, Maryland Department of Natural Resources secretary; Michael Roman, Horn Point Laboratory director; and Col. Ed Chamberlayne, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District commander. Horn Point Hatchery is where the Oyster Recovery Partnership gets the baby oysters to place on the reefs the Army Corps constructs for Chesapeake Bay restoration efforts. The purpose of the following panel was to speak with watermen and stakeholders on how to better support oyster aquaculture in the region.
