Cadets with the Ukrainian Army Academy’s Honor Guard Company escort the national flag during a flag raising ceremony Aug. 23, 2015, in L'viv, Ukraine, marking Ukraine's 24th independence day celebrations. U.S. Army paratroopers with the 173rd Airborne Brigade attended the ceremony to support the Ukrainian people and to show their commitment to an enduring friendship between the two countries. The paratroopers are in Ukraine for the second of several planned rotations to train Ukraine's newly-formed national guard as part of Fearless Guardian, which is scheduled to last through November.
