U.S. Army Maj. Jason Spencer, the safety officer for Multinational Battle Group-East, carries the American flag during the Black Madonna Pilgrimage, Aug. 15, 2015, at the Church of the Black Madonna in Letnica, Kosovo. Spencer, a North Carolina National Guard Soldier who lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, is deployed to Kosovo as a member of the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team headquarters.
