SURABAYA, Indonesia (Aug. 4, 2015) - Gunner's Mate 2nd Class Joseph Quartararo, assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 3, speaks to an Indonesian “Kopaska” Naval Special Forces member while participating in a familiarization ride aboard a riverine command boat during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Indonesia 2015. In its 21st year, CARAT is an annual, bilateral exercise series with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the armed forces of nine partner nations including, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
