ARABIAN GULF (July 27, 2015) Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Andrea Williams signals to pilots from the “Blackjacks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21 during a vertical replenishment aboard Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Rushmore, part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
