Rear Adm. Paul Bushong, commander of Submarine Group 2, and his wife Dona, lift-off in a hot air balloon at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Bushong participated in opening ceremonies as part of Albuquerque Navy Week, Oct. 3-11. Retired Brig. Gen. Mike Rice was their host and pilot as they joined the early morning ascension flights. Albuquerque Navy Week is one of 21 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2009. Navy Weeks are designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
