(July 30, 2015) Steelworker 2nd Class Matthew Roberts and Steelworker 2nd Class Brenton Wood, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18, use a table saw to prepare trim to be installed on a model convenience store, part of the “search city” training facility at the National Disaster Search and Rescue Dog Foundation’s National Training Center. Seabees, from active duty and reserve units based out of Port Hueneme, Calif., are constructing various training facilities at the center to simulate realistic disaster scenarios for search dogs under the Department of Defense Innovative Readiness Training Program.
