Staff Sgt. Brian Franklin, an observer coach/trainer with the 177th Armored Brigade at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, radios in adjustments to a scenario during an Exportable Combat Training Capability exercise on July 28. The XCTC exposes Guard Soldiers to combat training experiences needed to support Army commitments worldwide. Approximately 4,600 Soldiers from the Mississippi Army National Guard, active and reserve components are participating in the event. The exercise will test the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team’s ability to perform platoon movements, company attacks, response to ambushes, and more. (Mississippi National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
