Pfc. Dennis Lucas of Gratz, Pa., and Spc. Nathan Montgomery of Chester, W.Va., both clerks in the motor pool of Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment, 28th Combat Aviation Brigade, recall the events of Sept. 19. That night, they performed first aid after a Black Hawk helicopter crashed at Joint Base Balad, where they were attending a class.
