Sgt. Armando Zuniga, a Santa Ana, Calif., native, affixes an explosive breaching charge to a door as an engineer from 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade look on, and to demonstrate the capabilities of explosive breaching techniques in conjunction with building clearing training being held at an abandoned Russian radar facility in Skrunda, Latvia, July 22. The training, which includes Soldiers from Attack Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, demonstrates the U.S. commitment to the Baltic region. Soldiers from 173rd Airborne Brigade are deployed throughout Eastern Europe in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing multinational partnership focused on joint training and security cooperation with U.S. Army allies.
