Two U.S. military personnel in desert camouflage uniforms are working on weapon maintenance in what appears to be an armory or maintenance room. The soldier on the right has a visible name tape reading 'MELSON.' Both are wearing protective eyewear while handling a disassembled weapon, likely an M249 SAW or similar light machine gun.

Spc. Matthew Williamson and Sgt. Tanya Melson, both small arms/artillery repairers with the 542nd Maintenance Company (Direct Support) work on replacing the extractor on a M249 squad automatic weapon in their small workshop on Camp Taji on April 15. The small shop so far fixed close to 250 small arms, some of which were AK47s for the Iraqi army.
