(July 14, 2015) - Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Ashley Crawford, from Bend, Ore., burns the end of a string for a float coat whistle aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Float coats are life preservers used to help locate Sailors who have fallen overboard. The crew is currently preparing for the Navy's Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV).
