(July 14, 2015) - Boatswain's Mate Seaman Christian Velasquez, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., replaces batteries for a distress marker light aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Distress marker lights are used in float coats to help locate Sailors who have fallen overboard. The crew is currently preparing for the Navy's Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV).
