The commandant and regimental sergeant major of the Commando Training Centre, Royal Marines, familiarized themselves with how Parris Island molds approximately 50 percent of male recruits and 100 percent of female recruits into Marines during a visit to the depot July 8-10, 2015. They visited the depot after discussing the role of women in combat with the Marine Corps Force Integration Office earlier in the week.
