Howell, a medic assigned to Company A, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. "This is one of the things they need to know," said Howell, a native of Copperas Cove, Texas. "It may be the difference between saving the child and not."
