150704-N-MK881-006 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 4, 2015) Aviation Electrician’s Mate Andrew Farmer, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35, Detachment 3, finishes a freshwater wash down in the rain on the flight deck of the littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) on the Fourth of July. Currently on a 16-month rotational deployment in support of the Indo-Asia-Pacific rebalance, Fort Worth is a fast and agile warship tailor-made to patrol the region’s littorals and work hull-to-hull with partner navies, providing 7th Fleet with the flexible capabilities it needs now and in the future.
