INDIAN OCEAN (July 5, 2015) Fleet replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO 199) steams alongside forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard conducting a replenishment at sea (RAS) while amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) approaches from astern to begin her own RAS. Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group (BHRESG) and is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
