Capt. Ben Sloot, from the 401st Chemical Company, out of Boston, looks out at the ironclad ship USS Cairo while on a tour of the Vicksburg National Military Park in Vicksburg, Miss. Sloot was part of a June 7 staff ride to allow 412th Theater Engineer Command Soldiers a chance gain a new perspective on the challenges faced during war.
