Team Army leads the parade of athletes during opening ceremonies for the 2015 Warrior Games. The intra-service Paralympic styled competition began in 2010 and had been dominated by the U.S. Marine Corps team each year until Team Army pulled an upset in 2014 taking home the Commander’s Cup as top medalist. With Marine Corps Base Quantico playing host to the nearly 250 participating athletes representing six service teams including U.S. Special Operations Command and the British Armed Forces, retired Capt. Frank Barroquiero says out-medaling them on their home turf may prove tricky but it is doable. “We have quite a few new faces in our ranks this year,” Barroquiero said. “But we are here to compete and we are Army Strong.” (Photo by Staff Sgt.
