A pile of new track pads waiting to be installed, June 18, 2015, on an M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank in preparation to be loaded on a U.S. Air Force C17 Globemaster III in Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The tanks are the first heavy armor equipment to be air transported by the U.S. Air Force in Europe since the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and will be the first U.S. tanks to fire live rounds at the Novo Selo Training Area in Bulgaria, demonstrating the continued U.S. commitment to our NATO Allies.
