Salvadoran soldiers watch the guest speakers during the closing ceremony at the Commando de Ingeieros de las Fuerzas Armadas installation in La Libertad, El Salvador. This ceremony marks a goodbye between members of Task Force Northstar and Salvadoran Task Force San Andreas. These task forces supplied the manpower behind Beyond the Horizon 2015. Beyond the Horizon is a U.S. Southern Command sponsored, U.S. Army South planned and led humanitarian and civic assistance exercise. The exercise is a major component of the U.S. military's regional engagement efforts and affords a unique opportunity to train U.S. service members alongside partner nation personnel, while providing needed services to communities throughout the region.
