U.S. service members from the Army and Airforce render honors during the Salvadoran and U.S. national anthems at the closing ceremony at the Commando de Ingeieros de las Fuerzas Armadas installation in La Libertad, El Salvador. This ceremony marks a goodbye between members of Task Force Northstar and Salvadoran Task Force San Andreas. These task forces supplied the manpower behind Beyond the Horizon 2015. Beyond the Horizon is a U.S. Southern Command sponsored, U.S. Army South planned and led humanitarian and civic assistance exercise. The exercise is a major component of the U.S. military's regional engagement efforts and affords a unique opportunity to train U.S. service members alongside partner nation personnel, while providing needed services to communities throughout the region.
