A United States Army soldier in ACU (Army Combat Uniform) is performing maintenance or pre-flight checks on a military helicopter, identified by 'UNITED STATES ARMY' markings on the fuselage. The soldier appears to be tensioning or checking a tie-down strap or rotor blade tie, securing the aircraft on what appears to be a concrete flight line or tarmac. The arid, hazy environment suggests a desert deployment location.
