SAVUSAVU, Fiji (June 12, 2015) Capt. Christopher Engdahl (center left), the mission commander of Pacific Partnership 2015, from South Bend, Ind., takes a group photo with leaders from Fiji, the United States and Japan and the Wai Levu East District School in Savusavu, Fiji, during Pacific Partnership 2015. Engdahl visited the school to observe a construction project and to meet with local residents. Fiji is Mercy’s first mission port of PP15. Pacific Partnership is in its 10th iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions to date have provided real world medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
