    A combat excavator scoops a load of dirt to fill a Hesco barrier along the perimeter of Combat Outpost Koshtay, Aug. 18. Marines from 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment have been operating in the area since early July and are the last company-sized unit in the province move into an established, fortified position.
