Maj. Gen. Daniel Bolger, the commanding general for Multi-National Division-Baghdad, awards the Bronze Star Medal with Valor to Capt. Frank Rodriguez, of Cameron, N.C., commander of Troop A., 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Aug. 19 at Joint Security Station Salie, located in the Ma'dain region, outside eastern Baghdad. Bolger awarded five Paratroopers medals of valor for their actions in late March during combat in the al-Fadhil neighborhood of eastern Baghdad.
