Maj. Gen. Daniel Bolger, the commanding general for Multi-National Division-Baghdad, presents 1st Sgt. Robert Cobb, of Camden, S.C., Troop A, 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, Aug. 19, at Joint Security Station Salie, located in the Ma'dain region, outside eastern Baghdad. Cobb received the valor award for his actions in late March during combat in the al-Fadhil neighborhood of eastern Baghdad following the warrant-based arrest of local awakening council leader Adel al-Mashhadani by the Iraqi security forces.
