Staff Sgt. Brian Moreno, of El Paso, Texas, guides his military working dog in order to search a van at an Iraqi checkpoint, Aug. 19, in the Ma'dain region, located outside eastern Baghdad. Federal police officers did a majority of the searches while U.S. Paratroopers pulled security on the surrounding area of the checkpoint. Moreno is a military police officer assigned to Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad.
