Chief Navy Petty Officer Tyrone Jiles, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, reads to local Philippine children during a community service project hosted by the U. S. Agency for International Development and the Philippine Daily Inquirer newspaper. George Washington is deployed to the western Pacific Ocean, and her port visit to Manila is the first by a U.S. aircraft carrier in more than 13 years.
