Corporal John W. Harland of 1st Marine Logistics Groups food services adds green beans to a plate of chicken that was prepared using the Field Food Service System. The system provides service members at smaller forward operating bases throughout Iraq with cooked meals instead of reheated, prepackaged meals. The FFSS requires 16 people to operate and is made of three shipping containers; two for cooking and one for sanitizing the food preparation equipment. The system is currently being used at such places as Camp Korean Village and Haditha Dam and has received high praise for the quality of food.
