U.S. 5th FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 19, 2015) – Cmdr. Michael Gunther, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile cruiser USS McFaul (DDG 74), explains his command philosophy to McFauls newest Sailors during the command's indoctrination. McFaul is independently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theatre security cooperation efforts in the region.
