150512-M-YH418-002: STRAIT OF BAB AL MANDEB (May 12, 2015) - Sgt. Peter Gentry III, right, and Cpl. Michael Connell, both anti-tank missilemen with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, observe vehicles and terrain on a nearby island while part of a small caliber action team aboard the mine countermeasures ship USS Sentry (MCM-3) during the ship’s transit through the Strait of Bab-al-Mandeb, May 12, 2015. A contingent of 24th MEU Marines augmented the ship’s security while transiting the heavily-trafficked strait. The 24th MEU is embarked on the ships of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
