An M1A2 Abrams tank with the 3rd Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment maneuvers through a live-fire exercise where five tanks advance in formations and engage targets as they identify them at the National Training Center April 29 at Fort Irwin, California. 3-66 replaced the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division during the brigade’s training rotation to NTC while 3-8 CAV is currently deployed to South Korea.
