An M1A2 Abrams tank with the 3rd Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment maneuvers through a live-fire exercise where five tanks advance in formations and engage targets as they identified them at the National Training Center April 29 at Fort Irwin, California. The units were also tested in the force-on-force portion of their training, during which they took part in a simulated battle where the enemies had similar capabilities.
