Retired Air Force Maj. Louis F. Tornabene and Norma Tornabene talk with Col. Steven Hiss, presiding officer, before the start of The Air Medal ceremony April 29, 2015. The ceremony was held at the Hall of Heroes in The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School on the campus of The University of Virginia. Tornabene was recognized for his work in the Manhattan Project.
