Lt. Gen. Patricia Horoho, U.S. Army surgeon general (TSG) and commanding general of the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) addresses the audience during the Pacific Regional Medical Command (PRMC) High Reliability Organization (HRO) summit held at the Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu, April 23-24, 2015. Horoho demonstrated the MEDCOM's desire to foster a patient safety environment which achieves "Zero Preventable Harm"; she used the airline industry's safety processes and procedures as an example of a system that can be emulated in healthcare to achieve this goal.
