Jackson, commander, Navy Region Southeast, along with Mitch Landrieu, mayor of New Orleans, and Mark Romig, CEO of New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corporation, observe the parading of colors at Gallier Hall during the mayoral welcome for Navy Week New Orleans 2015. Wasp is one of six ships representing the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, British Navy and Canadian Navy by participating in Navy Week New Orleans 2015. The weeklong celebration is an opportunity for the citizens of New Orleans and surrounding area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
