150416-N-TP834-031 ARABIAN SEA (April 16, 2015) A Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 94 “Mighty Shrikes” Sailor uses a speed wrench to install chaff on the fuselage of an F/A-18C Hornet on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) flight deck. Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 are in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility returning to homeport after supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
