Sgt. 1st Class Easton Purkiss of the 39th Transportation Battalion greets member of the Turi community during an equipment display on March 21, 2015. Purkiss is the senior non-commissioned officer responsible for the 16th Sustainment Brigade’s Convoy Support Team from Estonia, providing fuel, food, and cargo transfer to 2nd Cavalry Regiment during “Dragoon Ride.” “Dragoon Ride,” an operational movement in which 3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment drove their vehicles as far as 1,100 miles, and through five NATO-allied countries, back to Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany. The movement was a capstone exercise for 3-2 Cav.’s rotation under Atlantic Resolve-North, where units under U.S. Army Europe train with allied nations from the Baltics and Poland.
