Marines track gear off-loaded from U.S. Naval Ship Pililaau for exercise Balikatan 2015, April 9 at Subic International Airport, Philippines. The Marines offloaded 596 pieces of gear off the ship in 15 hours. Tirelessly, the Marines organized, inventoried and staged all of the gear for transport to Crow Valley in only three days, according to U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. Lius Orozco, the joint limited technical inspection maritime chief. According to Orozco, the Marines ability to sustain operations inland is created by their hard work and dedication. Balikatan is an annual bilateral training exercise with the Philippines aimed at enhancing readiness and military-to-military relations, territorial defense and humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations.
