U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 577th Expeditionary Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force Squadron remove built-up rubber from a runway using bobcats equipped with bristled rollers April 4, 2015, at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Forward deployed from Southwest Asia, 577 EPBS Airmen travel throughout the Air Force Central Command area of responsibility completing projects to facilitate mission accomplishment. At BAF, the Airmen remove rubber from 30,000 – 40,000 square feet of runway each day, and will cover a total of 382,000 square feet before redeploying. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
