On the morning of March 27, Sgt. Steven Zesati and Pfc. Zacharahia McClanahan of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team ran the last two miles together, completing the ruck march in 2 hours, 11 minutes. They were the first candidates to complete the ruck march; Zesati received the title of “Honor Graduate.”
