Dr. Qahtan Abbas Al-Jaburri, the minister of tourism and antiquities presented a speech at the ground breaking ceremony for Baghdad Island, June 22. The ministry of tourism and antiquities and the 1st "Black Knights" Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division are teaming together to re-open Baghdad Island in the same condition that it once was.
