150311-N-RU971-135 EAST CHINA SEA (March 11, 2015) – The Whidbey-island class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) and the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) participate in a replenishment-at-sea with the Military Sealift Commnad fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197) and the dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11). Bonhomme Richard and Ashland are part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), are currently conducting an Amphibious Integration Training (AIT) exercise.
