Air Guard and N.C. Forest Service personal explain the registration process used in Joint Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (JRSOI), a system used by major first responders to track all personnel and resources being utilized before, during, and after a natural disaster, to lead Tanzanian disaster preparedness officials visiting the 145th Regional Training Site. The officials also observed operations involving the N.C. Army and Air Guard during the weeklong Vigilant Guard training exercise. The Vigilant Guard program provides an opportunity for state National Guard Headquarters, State Joint Task Forces, N.C. Emergency management and county civilian partners to improve communication and operational relationships. This opportunity also gives officials insight on how to improve operations in Tanzania.
