Army Maj. Bradley Merritt (right) and Air Force Lt. Col. Craig Goforth (left) explain the Joint Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (JRSOI) process to the lead officials of disaster preparedness in Tanzania at the 145th Regional Training Site, March 7th, in New London, N.C. The officials visited to observe operations involving the N.C. Army and Air Guard during a week long Vigilant Guard training exercise. The Vigilant Guard program provides an opportunity for state National Guard Headquarters, State Joint Task Forces, N.C. Emergency management and county civilian partners to improve communication and operational relationships. This opportunity also gives officials insight on how to improve operations in Tanzania.
