    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    U.S. Marines demonstrate how they operate their M777A2 Howitzer to Japan Self-Defense Force Officer Candidates Feb. 26 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Marines from 12th Marine Regiment displayed eight different vehicles and over 10 weapons, for more than 300 JSDF Officer Candidates. The Officer Candidates are part of the Japan Observer Exchange Program. JOEP provides opportunities for III Marine Expeditionary Force Marines and JSDF personnel to observe training of their counterparts in order to increase mutual understanding and interoperability.
