Petty Officer 2nd Class Shauna Poole ties off a vein in Hospitalman Nathaniel Garrett’s arm so that she may draw blood from him. Poole and Garrett are both hospital corpsmen assigned to the Navy Operational Support Center or NOSC San Antonio, helping Navy Reservists fulfill their obligations during drill weekends and prepare them for active duty. The Navy Reserve is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. NOSC San Antonio is located on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.
