    U.S. Army Pacific Commanding General, Gen. Vincent K. Brooks, and senior People’s Liberation Army (PLA) officers tour the field kitchen site manned by cooks from both armies during the 2015 Pacific Resilience Disaster Management Exchange (DME) on Jan.18 at Macun Barrack in Haikou, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China. The leaders sampled some of the bread prepared by the PLA Mobile Kitchen Trailer (MKT) and observed while local residents played the role of displaced personnel in an evacuation camp constructed by soldiers of both armies. The DME is designed to maximize hands-on, side-by-side interaction with the PLA on Humanitarian Assistance (HA) and Disaster Relief (DR) operations.
